Observing the First International Day of Education
Posted on Feb 04, 2019 by SpanTran
SpanTran TEC team members took the time to observe the International Day of Education last week on January 24th. Formally recognized by the United Nations, the day honors the responsibility of education for peace and development and reiterates the core belief that education is a fundamental right for all, as stated also in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The UN's commitment to education is part of its 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Goal four of the agenda seeks to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, in the hope of building sustainable and resilient societies. Additionally, the human right to education does not just stop at elementary and secondary education, it stipulates that higher education is a fundamental right.
At SpanTran: The Evaluation Company, we work with students of all ages and from countries all over the world. With four offices located across the country, we can assist students and applicants in Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, and Houston. You're not in one of our office location cities? That's no problem, we can still help those that are in need of a foreign credential evaluation with our convenient and easy-to-use online application found directly on our website.
We meet students embarking on their first year in the United States and need to transfer their middle or high school units to the U.S. education system. We work with students who have decided to move to the U.S. to begin their undergraduate studies, master's degrees, or even a Ph.D. We've seen candidates study in different countries every year of their undergraduate degrees and even students who have decided to return to higher education, after completing a degree decades ago.
By working with clients from every phase of life, we truly understand the importance of school and the need to facilitate a student's ability to enroll in programs in the United States. Education is a fundamental right, and here at SpanTran: The Evaluation Company, we are very proud to able to assist people as they pursue their academic goals in the U.S.
How do we help students attain a higher education? We offer credentials evaluations, which establish an international student's degree equivalency in the United States educational system. We essentially convert coursework, credits, and grades to the U.S. academic system so students can easily transfer their foreign studies to U.S. programs (within universities, colleges, and even middle/high school). We also have an online application on our website, which allows students to apply for a credential evaluation from overseas (or from within the United States) with ease.
When candidates apply from a different country, we are used to seeing degree certificates and other documentation in a foreign language. SpanTran: The Evaluation Company also has a team of credible ATA certified translators that can translate your documents for you when applying. If a student has a question or needs help, they are always welcome to call or email us, and a customer service representative will be able to assist them to walk them through the process.
We are so thrilled to be able to accommodate candidates and their academic needs and excited that we had the opportunity to celebrate the FIRST official United Nations International Day of Education. We look forward to continuing to help more students embark on the next step of their educational journey!
